Northwest Indiana legislators to host February 5 Legislative Update Public Forum

INDIANAPOLIS - Northwest Indiana State Reps. Vernon G. Smith (D-Gary),  Earl L. Harris Jr. (D-East Chicago), Ragen Hatcher (D-Gary), Mike Andrade (D-Munster) and State Sens. Eddie Melton (D-Gary) and Lonnie Randolph (D-East Chicago) will host a public forum to discuss legislative updates on Saturday, February 5, 2022.

The legislators invite the public to attend the event to learn more about legislation currently being considered by the Indiana General Assembly.

 “Anyone who is interested in advancing the future of Gary and Lake County should attend Saturday’s event,” Smith said. 

“This public forum is an opportunity for the community to have a direct conversation with their elected officials. We plan to share updates on legislation moving through the Statehouse and how the community can get involved through advocacy.

“I encourage the public to remain active in the political process by attending and making their voices heard.”
